50 minutes from Koga area, via Sakai-machi
70 minutes from Shimodate area, via Shimotsuma
60 minutes from Tsuchiura area, via Mitsukaido
◆By Train and Bus

Disembark at Moriya Station on the Tsukuba Express line. Then take a Kanto Tetsudo bus bound for either Iwai or Sashima to get off at Shizen Hakubutsukan Iriguchi. 5 minute walk from there.
Disembark at Atago Station on the Tobu Noda line. Then take an Ibaraki Kyuko bus bound for Iwai Shako, and get off Shizen Hakubutsukan Iriguchi. A 10-minute walk from there.
